The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse, across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. Job Description
As an investigator in the placement support unit, you will be responsible for working with your colleagues on the unit's delegated tasks. You will conduct various investigative assignments, process and prepare materials in different contexts, compile statistical data and analyze it, as well as collaborate internally and externally for an improved care chain for placed children, youth, and clients.
The position may also include other tasks that occur within the unit. You will work both independently and together with the unit's and department's other functions. You will be placed in the placement support unit, which is part of the youth care department's section for operational support.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree of at least 180 credits with a focus on social sciences or behavioral sciences, or other education that SiS deems equivalent.
- Experience of independent investigative work within public operations and the area of care and treatment.
- Excellent communication skills, with a very good ability to express oneself in writing and verbally in Swedish, adapted to different target groups.
It is also meritorious if you have:
- Experience of work within coercive or compulsory care.
- Good knowledge of institutional care and/or other knowledge primarily related to child and youth care.
- Experience of working with young people with psychosocial issues and/or substance abuse issues.
For the position, you need to have a very good ability to analyze, formulate, and handle texts. You have good collaboration skills, towards your colleagues within the work group and other contact points both within and outside the organization. You are meticulous and structured. You are also flexible and have the ability to switch between both strategic and operational tasks. Furthermore, we see that you are responsible, take ownership of the whole, and realize SiS's vision and goals. You are comfortable in a workday where conditions can change at short notice and are a good role model, showing trust in your colleagues' competence.

Employment:
Employment type: Permanent employment, starting with a six-month probationary period.
Extent: Full-time.
Start date: By agreement.
Work location: Solna.
Travel may occur in the position.
